Open Records Request

The Cuero Police Department processes open records requests for all calls within our agency. Should you need a copy of any documented incidents a Public Information Request Form will be required. Our procedure for these requests are explained below.

NOTE: Most car accidents will be located online, however, if an accident occurred on private property you will need to fill out the Public Information Request Form.


How Open Records Requests Are Processed:

  • Fill out the Public Information Request Form listed above
  • Submit your form in person, by mail, fax or e-mail
  • Please allow a minimum of two (2) business days for a response
  • Payment must be made in full before we will release the requested document(s)

Acceptable payments: Exact cash, cashier’s check or money order

Cost/Retrieval of Responsive Information:

Open records requests will be processed at base rate of $15.00 per hour ($7.50 per half hour) plus $.20 per printed page.

The prepared request can be picked up in person, e-mailed, faxed or mailed. Please note that if you opt to get your request by mail there will be a postage fee added.

We will contact you with the price once the request has been processed. Only when the full payment is made will we release the requested document(s).

  • EXACT CASH – We cannot make change
  • CASHIER’S CHECK OR MONEY ORDER – Paid to: City of Cuero
