Holidays
Garbage will not be collected on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Good Friday
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
All Customers
Solid Waste Collection is required by all Residential and Commercial
Units within the City Limits.
It shall be the responsibility of the owner or occupant to apply
for service.
Collection and hauling of household hazardous waste, White Goods (air
conditioners, refrigerators, etc.) recyclables and other solid wastes
which are not household waste shall be the responsibility of the owner
or occupant.
It shall be the responsibility of each individual Residence or
Business to keep their dumpster clean and in sanitary condition.
We suggest a can liner (plastic bag) and or wash with soapy water
at least three to four times a year.
For Customers having access to dumpsters in alleyways, it is a
combined responsibility of those occupants it serves.
Customers outside the City Limits but within servicable range may
purchase a small roll-out. Larger containers are also available.

Brush and other large items should not be placed around the dumpsters.
The Solid Waste Department is not responsible for pickup of these items.

It is the responsibility of each Resident or Business to have their
dumpster at the curb for pickup by 6:30 A.M. on their designated
service days.
Extra pickups are available on request at a rate of $14.77 for
96-gallon poly cart, $27.36 for 2 Cubic Yard container, and $36.04
for 2 Cubic Yard container. (Price is per container per pickup.)
All billing is done through the City's Utility Office and will be
on your monthly Utility Bill.
Residential Service
The City provides 96 gallon roll-out carts for all Residential and Small Business
Customers. Residential rates are $19.15 per month with twice weekly pickup.
Small Business rate is $36.89 with twice weekly pickup per month.
Residents living in areas where there is access to large dumpsters will
still be charged the regular residential rate and it will be a combined
effort of those occupants it serves to keep the dumpster and surrounding
area clean and in sanitary condition.
Residents living outside the City Limits but within the servicable
area may purchase a small roll-out for $60.00 and will be serviced
once a week. They will be billed $19.15 per month residential rate.
A larger (2) Two Cubic Yard locking or non-locking container is
available on request. The charge for this service is $64.23 per month.

Commercial Customers
Open Top Roll-Off Containers are available in 20, 30 or 40 Cubic
Yard sizes, based on availability.
Customers utilizing open-top containers shall pay a one time Set-Up
Fee of $46.65.
A $234.00 transportation fee will be charged each time the container is
picked up and emptied plus all incurring landfill fees which are currently
$11.31 per cubic yard and subject to change.
Rental on container is $2.59 per day.
Commercial Customers are billed through the City's Utility Office, however
copies of all paperwork pertaining to your trash bill will be mailed to you
along with your utility bill. This paperwork is for your record keeping only.
You should only pay from the bill sent from the Utilities Office.

Construction Sites:
- $234.00 transportation fee, $2.59 per day rental fee, $46.65 delivery and
pickup charge, and the cost of disposal assessed by the landfill site.
Out of City Limits
Customers outside the City but within service area, Residential or
Small Business may purchase a small roll-out cart for $60.00 at
City Hall and will be serviced once a week.
Larger containers are available and need not be purchased. See Small

Special Provisions
The City Manager has the authority to require any customer
disposing of garbage, rubbish or waste to use an open top container,
as provided for in
Section 51.41(B)(4) of City Ordinance 2003-11,
or an open end garbage
truck. This requirement will be based on the type and quality of the
garbage, rubbish or waste disposal of, and will be at the sole
discretion of the City Manager.
