ORDINANCE 2002-26

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUERO, TEXAS, AMENDING TITLE V, CHAPTER 52: SECTION 52.60 (C) SEWER SERVICE CHARGES, AND CHAPTER 53, SECTION 53.55 (E)(1) RATES FOR WATER SERVICE, OF THE CITY OF CUERO CODE OF ORDINANCES PRESCRIBING RATES AND ESTABLISHING EFFECTIVE DATES.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUERO, TEXAS:

SECTION ONE. That Title V, Chapter 52, Section 52.60 (C) Sewer Charges and Chapter 53, Section 53.55 (E)(1) Rates for Water Service of Title V, Chapter 53 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cuero, Texas, be and the same are hereby amended to read as follows:

CHAPTER 52.60 SEWER SERVICE CHARGES.

(C)

Using such bases, the charges for sewer services shall be:

 

(1)  Customers Inside City.

 

Residential and Commercial:

 

First 2,000 Gallons

$10.82

 

 

 

For each 1,000 gallons or fraction thereof
     in excess of 2,000 gallons.

 


$1.25

 

 

(2)  Customers Outside City.

 

Residential:

 

First 2,000 Gallons

$11.44

 

 

 

For each 1,000 gallons or fraction thereof
     in excess of 2,000 gallons.

Commercial:

$15.60

 

 

 

For each 1,000 gallons or fraction thereof
     in excess of 2,000 gallons.

CHAPTER 53.55 RATES FOR WATER SERVICE.

The following charges and rates for water furnished by the city are hereby fixed as follows:

 

(1)  Customers Inside City.

SECTION TWO. That this ordinance shall become effective January 1, 2003.

ON MOTION OF COUNCILMEMBER FRELS, SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER SAENZ, THAT THE ORDINANCE BE PASSED ON SECOND READING THE 7th DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2002. AYES:        5          NAYES:        0          MOTION CARRIED.

ON MOTION OF COUNCILMEMBER STOCK, SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER HENDERSON, THAT THE ORDINANCE BE PASSED ON THIRD AND FINAL READING THE 5th DAY OF DECEMBER, 2002. AYES:        7          NAYES:        0          MOTION CARRIED.
