ORDINANCE 2002-03

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUERO, TEXAS, AMENDING TITLE 5, CHAPTER 50: ELECTRIC
SERVICE: RATES, SECTION 50.01 SCHEDULE OF RATES, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CUERO BY
ADDING ELECTRIC RATE SCHEDULE HUC AND AMENDING SCHEDULE PCA, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUERO, TEXAS:

SECTION 1. That Title 5, Chapter 50: Electric Service: Rates, Section 50.01 Schedule of Rates, of the
Code of City Ordinances of the City of Cuero be and the same is hereby amended by establishing the rate
schedules attached to such Ordinance, attached to and made part of this amending Ordinance, Electric Rate
Schedule HUC and Schedule PCA, and there shall be charged and collected from every customer of the City
of Cuero Electric Department, for electric current distributed by the City of Cuero to such customer,
the rates set forth in the applicable Schedule of Rates attached to and made part of this Ordinance for
all purposes if set forth at this point word for word.

SECTION 2. There is an immediate need for the application of this amended ordinance, and therefore,
such facts constitute an emergency for the preservation of the public health, safety, and business
demanding that the Rule which requires ordinances to be read at more than one meeting of the City Council
be and the same is hereby suspended and this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon and after its
passage on the first reading.

UPON MOTION OF COUNCIL MEMBER FRELS, SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER SAENZ, THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADOPTED ON
EMERGENCY READING THIS 3RD DAY OF JANUARY 2002.
