The City of Cuero distributes electric
power from wholesaler
LCRA
to residential, commercial and industrial customers. General
descriptions of service for each application as well as links for
complete rate schedule information and ordinances are provided below.

Residential
Electric Rate – Schedule R
Applicable to single family residential customers where all energy is
taken through a single meter. (Multiple Dwelling Units served under
one meter shall be billed under the applicable commercial rate.) An
Average Monthly Payment Plan is available to qualified, eligible
residential customers only. Service will be furnished under this rate schedule
subject to the established rules and regulations of the City covering
this type of service.
Current: Alternating Current (A.C.), 60 cycles/second,
single phase, 120/240 volts.
Minimum Monthly Charge: $7.33 per month, plus -
+ 6.61 cents per kWhr for the first 500 kWhrs
+ 5.86 cents per kWhr for all kWhrs over 500, except
+ 5.28 cents per kWhr for all kWhrs over 500 used per month in the winter billing months of December
through May.
+ PCA (Power Cost Adjustment) - Variable; based on kWhr
consumption; applicable on all Rate Schedules except HUC.

Small Commercial
Electric Rate – Schedule SC
Applicable to all non-residential customers billed through one
meter whose monthly peak demand is less than 15kW. Service will be
furnished under this rate schedule subject to the established rules
and regulations of the City covering this type of service.
Current: Alternating Current (A.C.), 60 cycles/second,
single phase 120/240 volts;
three phase: 120/240. Voltages of 120/208, 240/480, 277/480 available
at points of service. Three phase customers served via underground
primary to pad-mounted transformers are offered only 120/208 or
277/480 volt service.

Medium Commercial
Electric Rate – Schedule LP-1
Applicable to all commercial customers where service is taken through
one meter at one point of delivery and whose monthly peak demand is
at least 15kW for three consecutive months, and less than or equal
to 100kW. Service will be furnished under this rate schedule subject
to the established rules and regulations of the City covering this
type of service.
Current: Alternating Current (A.C.), 60 cycles/second, single
phase 120/240 volts;
three phase: 120/240. Voltages of 120/208, 240/480, 277/480,
2,400/4,160, 7,200/12,470 available at points of service.
Three phase customers served via underground primary to pad-mounted
transformers are offered only 120/208 or 277/480 volt service.

Large Commercial and Small Industrial
Electric Rate – Schedule LP-2
Applicable to all commerical and industrial customers where service is
taken through one meter at point of delivery and whose monthly peak
demand and where the peak monthly kilowatt demand is greater than
100kW and less than or equal to equal to 1,000kW. (Requires
individual service agreement with the City.) Service will be
furnished under this rate schedule subject to the established rules
and regulations of the City covering this type of service.

phase 120/240 volts;
three phase: 120/240. Voltages of 120/208, 240/480, 277/480,
2,400/4,160, 7,200/12,470 available at points of service.
Three phase customers served via underground primary to pad-mounted

Electric Rate – Schedule LP-3
Applicable to all large commerical customers where service is
taken through one meter at point of delivery and whose monthly peak
demand and where the peak monthly kilowatt demand is greater than
1,000kW and less than or equal to equal to 2,000kW. (Requires
individual service agreement with the City.) Service will be
furnished under this rate schedule subject to the established rules
and regulations of the City covering this type of service.
Current: Alternating Current (A.C.), 60 cycles/second, single
phase 120/240 volts;
three phase: 120/240. Voltages of 120/208, 240/480, 277/480,
2,400/4,160, 7,200/12,470 available at points of service.
Three phase customers served via underground primary to pad-mounted

Large Industrial
Electric Rate – Schedule LP-4
Applicable to all large commerical customers where service is
taken through one meter at point of delivery and who contract for
greater than 2,000kW of monthly demand. (Requires individual service
agreement with the City.) Service will be furnished under this rate
schedule subject to the established rules and regulations of the
City covering this type of service.
Current: Alternating Current (A.C.), 60 cycles/second, single
phase 120/240 volts;
three phase: 120/240. Voltages of 120/208, 240/480, 277/480,
2,400/4,160, 7,200/12,470 available at points of service.
Three phase customers served via underground primary to pad-mounted
transformers are offered only 120/208 or 277/480 volt service.

High Use Customer
Electric Rate – Schedule HUC
For designated "High Use Customers" (HUC) that have an annual system
peak of 200 kW or greater. All "High Use Customers" eligible for this
service have been previously identified, accepted and approved by the
City's wholesale supplier as "High Use Customers".
Current: Alternating Current (A.C.), 60 cycles/second, single
phase 120/240 volts;
three phase: 120/240. Voltages of 120/208, 240/480, 277/480,
2,400/4,160, 7,200/12,470 available at points of service.
Three phase customers served via underground primary to pad-mounted
transformers are offered only 120/208 or 277/480 volt service.

Power Cost Adjustment
Schedule PCA
The purpose of this schedule is to accurately recover from City
customers the cost of wholesale power purchases in excess of the base
amount included in the City's electric retail rate schedules. All
wholesale power cost realized above the base amount shall be billed
by the City on its monthly bills as a Power Cost Adjustment (PCA)
charge determined by multiplying the billing kWh for these current
month times a Power Cost Adjustment Factor (PCAF). (See
Schedule PCA for formula and further
definitions and calculations information.)

Special: 100-Watt High Pressure Sodium Security Lights
Electric Rate – Schedule SL100 HPS/175 MV
Applicable to service 100-Watt high pressure sodium security lights
installed and maintained by the City for customers at their request.
Customers will be required to contract for this service for a period
to be determined by the City. Service will be furnished under this
rate schedule subject to the established rules and regulations of
the City covering this type of service.

Electric Rate – Schedule SL100 HPS/175 MV
Applicable to service 175-Watt mercury vapor security lights
installed and maintained by the City for customers at their request.
Customers will be required to contract for this service for a period
to be determined by the City. Service will be furnished under this
rate schedule subject to the established rules and regulations of
the City covering this type of service.

Applicable to service 250-Watt high pressure sodium security lights
installed and maintained by the City for customers at their request.
