Citizens' Collection Center- Cuero

The Collection Center accepts non-hazardous waste only and also
serves as the City Recycling Center.
Current fees are based on the percentage of $69.00 per ton. Charges
may be added to your City Utility Bill if so desired. (Please have account
number available when making this request).
Items we accept include but are not limited to:
- Small & large household appliances (A/C, stove, refrigerators,
microwave, washer, etc.) NOTE: THESE ITEMS MUST BE FREE OF ALL FREON,
AND COMPRESSOR MUST BE REMOVED.
- Concrete, shingles (must be free of asbestos), construction
materials i.e. lumber, etc.
- Bulky items such as couches, mattresses, etc. are also accepted.

Items Recycled at No Charge (unless otherwise noted)
- Corrugated Cardboard
- Aluminum Cans (note: we do not buy aluminum cans)
- Steel Cans
- All paper types (newspapers, magazines, computer/copy paper, phone books, etc.)
- Scrap Metal
- Used Motor Oil
- Used Oil Filters (note: there is a $0.25 per filter charge)
Items Not Accepted for Recycling
- Plastic (to include Styrofoam)
- Glass
Please Note: The above items are still accepted as refuse, but are not recycled due
to high processing costs.
Waste Items Not Accepted
- Materials classified as hazardous waste.
- Any other materials restricted by landfill and/or Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
Special Provisions
BRUSH and TREE LIMBS are accepted free of charge and are then
ground into mulch, which is available free of charge to those interested.
(Due to insurance costs, the attendant is NOT ALLOWED to load mulch.)
NOTE: The Solid Waste Department does not pick up brush. It is the sole
responsibility of the individual to get the brush to the Collection Center.
If you are unable to do so, you may contact City Hall at (361) 275-6114
to request a work order for the Street Department to make a pickup.
(There is a fee for this service which, at your request, may be added to your Utilities Bill).
The Center is located at 1411 E. Broadway (Victoria Highway 87 South.)
Directly across from Pebble Ridge and Weber Motor, next door to Leske
Motor Co.
