Notice is here by given for a meeting of the City Council of the City of Cuero to be held on September 12, 2022 at 5:00 pm located at City Hall Council Chambers, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items.  The City Council of the City of Cuero will meet, consider, deliberate and may take action on all agenda items.

Call to order and announce a quorum is present

Public Hearing


6.1.

Public Hearing on a request from on a request to close/abandon an undeveloped alley located in a portion of Block 15, North Fields, behind 603 E Second Street. The alley runs in a Easterly/Westerly direction between N. Henry Street and N. Valley Streets.

Council consideration and action items


7.1.

Discuss, consider and possible action on request from Texas Hero Memorial Foundation for event in the Municipal Park.

7.2.

Discuss, consider and possible action on request from Texas Hero Fest for Hotel Motel Tax.

7.3.

Discuss, consider and possible action on a request from the tri-City Empowerment Council to close streets for a festival to be held at Daule Park on October 8, 2022.

7.4.

Discuss, consider and possible action on a request from the Stephenson Unit to hold a car show and cookoff in the Municipal Park.

7.5.

Discuss, consider and possible action on request from Main Street Director for temporary street closure from Friday, October 21, 2022 through Monday October 24, 2022.

Requested street closures: The 200 block of E. Main Street to the front of the library closed from Friday, October 21st at 10AM, through Monday, 
 October 24th at 8AM, for tent placement and S. Gonzales Street from E. Main to W. North Railroad Street on Saturday October 22nd from 
 7AM to 3PM. This will not disturb the traffic flow from the 100 block of E. Main Street onto N. Gonzales Street.

Discuss, consider and possible action on participating in the National Fitness Campaign through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas.

Emergency Reading of an Ordinance

8.1.

Discuss, consider and possible action on Ordinance No. 2022- 14, amending the FY 2021-2022 budget

Discuss, consider and possible action on first reading Ordinance No. 2022-15, a request to abandon a 20 foot wide alley in Block 15 of the Northfields Subdivision, lying within the corporate limits of the City of Cuero.
