CITY OF CUERO
COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA
MARCH 23, 2021

Notice is here by given for a meeting of the City Council of the City of Cuero to be held on March 23, 2021 at 12:00 PM, located at City Hall Council Chambers, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items.  The City Council of the City of Cuero will meet, consider, deliberate and may take action on all agenda items. 

 

1.

Call to order and announce a quorum is present


2.

Public Comments

An opportunity for the public to address Council or concerns not on the agenda (limited to two minutes). ( HB 3636). Comments from the members shall be limited to : 
a. Statements of specific factual information given in response to an inquiry;
b. A recitation of existing policy in response to an inquiry;
c. A proposal to place the subject on a future agenda.
3.

Emergency Reading of an Ordinance

3.1.

Discuss, consider and possible action on Ordinance No. 2021-08, authorizing and approving the Earnest Money Real Estate Sales Contract between the City of Cuero as seller and Luberski as buyer for the sale of the real property owned by the City of Cuero, being 16.65 acre tract of land located in the Samuel Lockhart League, Abstract 28, DeWitt County, Texas and authorizing the Mayor's execution of said Earnest Money Real Estate Sales Contract, and prescribing an effective date and declaring an emergency.

Second reading of an ordinance

4.1.

Discuss, Consider And Possible Action on the second and final reading Of Ordinance No. 2021-07, Recommendation From Planning And Zoning Commission On The Request For A Zoning Change Of 4.18 Acre Tract A, 16.65 Acre Tract “B”, 1.28 Acre Tract “C”; 0.87 Acre Tract “D” And 0.15 Tract “E”, Situated In The Samuel Lockhart League, Abstract 28, DeWitt County, Being A Portion Of That 501 Acre Source Tract Recorded In Volume 358, Page 780 Of The Deed Of Records Of DeWitt County Texas, And An 6.53 Acre Tract Situated In The Samuel Lockhart League, Abstract 28, DeWitt County, Recorded In Volume 88, Page 24 Of The Deed Of Records Of DeWitt County , Texas, From AG (Agriculture) To I-1 (Industrial, General).

Resolutions


5.1.

Discuss, Consider and Possible Action on the second and final Reading Of Resolution NO. 2021-10, Approving Cuero Development Corporation Project Funding Exceeding $10,000.

Executive Session

6.1.

EXECUTIVE SESSION PURSUANT TO SECTION 551.086 CHAPTER 551, TITLE 5 TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE. Executive Items May Be Discussed And Acted Upon, If Appropriate, In Open Session.

A..    Certain Public Power Utilities: Competitive Matters(§551.086 Tex. Govt. Code):

Consider/deliberate/discuss electric rates with regard to the City of Cuero’s Municipally Owned Electric Utility

Reconvene into open session.

RECONVENE PUBLIC MEETING TO TAKE NECESSARY ACTION, IF ANY, ON MATTERS DISCUSSED IN EXECUTIVE SESSION IN SECTION 6. (A)1. ABOVE WHICH INCLUDE A COMPETITIVE MATTER. REGARDING THE CITY OF CUERO’S MUNICIPALLY OWNED ELECTRIC UTILITY

The City Council may convene into executive (closed) session in accordance with the Texas Government Code when necessary and legally justified.
