citizens are proud of Cuero, which is recognized as a Preserve America
city, one of the Coolest Small Towns in America, a Retirement Community
as designated by Texas Department of Agriculture, Turkey Capital of the
World, and home of the Fightin' Gobblers, as a city that offers an
outstanding quality of life.
Public Safety
Residents
of Cuero live in a safe, aesthetically pleasing community where their
lives and property are protected through efficient public safety
services.
Education
All citizens are informed about city issues, policies, services, and
initiatives by providing a city-hosted website, a municipal TV channel,
newspaper publications, and through an emergency notification calling
system. Educational needs of the community are met by the Cuero
Independent School District (academically accredited by the Texas
Education Agency) and St. Michael's Catholic School. The University of
Houston-Victoria and Victoria College are 30 miles away.
Diversity
All
citizens are involved to ensure participation in government and
community by serving on city boards, committees, and the strategic
planning committee.
Growth
Cuero
partners with individuals and businesses to provide, maintain, and
promote a healthy economic environment for quality residential,
commercial, and retail growth with a focus on community needs.
Infrastructure
The city pledges to maintain the existing infrastructure, to upgrade deficient infrastructure, and to plan for future demands.
